Mussels anyone?
This morning, miracle of miracles, i woke up early. So decided to go down for breakfast with TE to Takada Sunday market to have some food.I had fish head noodles with evaporated milk. Very yummy.
Took a walk around the market and bought mussels. They were only RM2.00 per kg!!
Came back and decided to cook it for early lunch.
Recipe(well this is simply what i had at home. U can improvise)
1 onions- chopped
2 tomatoes-chopped
2 pips garlic-chopped
1 cm ginger-sliced
1 kg mussles
some rice wine
Fry the garlic till golden brown, then the onions and the garlic till fagrant. Add in the tomatoes and fry. Then add in the mussels and stir it all in. Add alittle bit of water and lastly as much rice wine as u want (hic!).
Cover the wok and simmer for about 5 mins and ur done. No need salt as the mussels are already quite salty.
I counted, that for 1 kg of mussels, there is 18 pieces of it in the bowl.
The rice wine gives it the fragrant wine smell. MMmm shiok... substitute white wine if dont have rice wine lar.
As i was savouring my mussels (ok lah more like devouring it) i noticed something ... erm...familiar. haha.
U know how people always say that mussels,oysters etc always reminds them of a girls part?!. Well i beg to differ, because... LOOK at the picture below at what i found!
90% of the mussels i ate had that phallic looking thing sticking out!

Ok, ok. For the guys out there, i did try to find what u were looking for. After eating mussels after phallic mussels, here it is! The original perception of shellfish!

So, eating all the mussels by myself was quite enjoyable. But i wished i had someone to share it with. Reminds me of the days in Glasgow, Scotland at Waxy O'connors where one crock of mussels cost 4.95 pounds. But it was well worth it because 1 crock is HUGE and cooked in white wine...yummy! Poor students like us relished it.
Burp!!!...Excuse me.... I would have shared it with u. But too bad..ur so far away.
To do or Not to do
So i went to the dentist today and check out my teeth.Thinking of doing braces. The dentist, Dr. Giam Eve Hock, is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. Whatever THAT is?He told me i had Hypermolar calcification and im like Huh? and some gingivitis..also another like Huh Really arh? Also my teeth are very weak and can decay very fast in say..3 days when i dont brush my teeth.. WAh lau..sounds serious deybut i brush my teeth everyday wor n floss at least once a week. Well maybe because i havent seen a dentist in almost 10 years *guilty*So i told him i wanted to have braces on. He took a look at my teeth...pull back my lips here n there. told me to bite ..etc etc..in the end he said i was on the borderline extraction case. I could chose to do braces without extraction or with extraction. Me liking pain said i wanted to extract =P haha My back molars would be pulled to the front if i had undergone extraction and both my upper teeth will be straigthen and the lower teeth wont have to come out to the front more..erm get the pic? ...means...with extraction my face would be slimmer and not longer. and without extraction my face would be longer as my lower jaw will come out to the front. I think extraction better right?So im Still thinking bout it. Cost about 5k for duration of 2 years.BUt i dont know where i would be in 2 years time.. should i do or not...do or not....do or noterghhhhhfuck it lah..do larnothing productive in Tawau anyway. So..yea..prolly make an appointment next week to check things out further
Squid Ong's 23rd
Last night we celebrated Squid Ong's, I mean Ong Jo Yi's 23rd. Well actually her bday is on the 15th..but we wanted to suprise her first on ..like... FRIDAY the 13th. First all of us came down and KJ called from the intercom and said he was from the hospital and told her she had to come down to sign some form for the hospital. It was urgent. If someone like that called me when its raining and its night time from the hospital, i would be FREAKED out man. She was like HUH..hospital? She came down anyway. haha
Now Squid(calling her squid seems nicer) has her hp permanently attached to her ear. Prove is as the picture below. So the surprise of throwing her into the pool immediately was scratched.

So we had to bluff her. Told her "actually we wanted to surprise u and have ur birtyday downstairs next to the pool but we couldnt cos its raining. So lets go upstairs to ur place lar". "Okay" said Squid. The next thing she knows, Kj and Te carried her up and counted to 3 and away she went into the pool. HAHa :P

Happy New Year my dear Friends!
Well the new year is here....din realise it creeped up against me till i heard fireworks from the distance. Was watching LOTR on TV2...yups..sad...but....like that lar.......Went out for dinner to supposedly celebrate the end of the year and ushering of 2006. BTW welcome year 2006!...may it be as eventful as 2005....well duh of cos it willl...i'd probably be raped in tawau.....At about 7pm we walked to May Garden restaurants *yes we walked to dinner...no car wat.....grumblegrumble...lowlypaidgovernmentminions....cough..* Works up an appetite man walking there....sumore did a few laps in the pool b4 that....Once arrived there ordered sotong kankung and grilled sting ray..was ok lar...tasted better back home...our main purpose was to stuff our faces with fresh seafood....but fuck....May Garden wanted to con us..think we all small kids or something...needless to say..some incident took place between the pregnant orderer...and me and some bitchy faces...and ..er..etc...u get the pic lar

Went snapping at all the fresh lobsters, mantis prawn, oysters., crab..u name it..they've got it! KJ was busy snapping away......no need to go PUSAT AKUARIUM at KLCC convention centre......just go Kim Leng n eat.....all kinds of sea ..er..creatures/animals? is available....haha..no entrance fee too!
Amidst all the burbling waters ..and the fresh seafood....oohh....snapping pics whilst placing order with the guy standing to the right...ahha dam vain lah we all..chose seafood also must take pic....pity the fella...must be thinking were "jakuns" or something...
I feel so loved..just thinking bout the oysters...that were going to slurp down..oh..Orgasmic....actually just thinking bout the oysters we had making me all..er...*groooowlMEoooooW* again ... =P

After dinner we decided to head back to our condo. Suddenly crowds of indons just appear out of no where. Their like swarmping the area near the restaurant. Fuck man, it was just like the Jakarta Riots in 1997, we were scared shit out of our pants. It was so la wless. The area was dark and crowds n crowds of indons was walking by us like they owned the place. Of course us girls din wanna get molested like Xiaxue so whenever they walk by us we would stop and avoid bodily contact as much as possible. And u know wat those fuckers that the cheek to say? "TAKUT PUN, TAU PUN KETEPI". Niama, talking big like the own the fucking place.
All 5 of us girls walking arms link around each other and the 2 guys looking out for us. Like going for war. And this was just crossing a few blocks of shops just to get to the main road to look for taxi. Only solace appeared was when out of the sudden darkness and smelly indons, flashes of blue lights appeared. Never was so relieved to see the police rondaing b4! Some mothafakers indon even had the cheek to say "ALAh..Tak takut pun. BUkan nyer boleh berhenti kita dari buat apa yang kita suka". Yups, just give u an idea about how fucking lawless they all are. Give no shit even to the cops....
Reason y were kinda afraid is because i work in the hospital and STAB cases is so common. Scared were going get stabed or something.
